Activities lined-up to commemorate UPLB centenary PDF Print E-mail

I got this from the UPLB Alumni mailing list. I just wanna share this with all our fellow eLBizens...

=================================

23 June 2009

Our Dear UPLB Alumni,

Greetings from our beloved Alma Mater!

We are furnishing you with a copy of the activities lined-up at UPLB to commemorate our centenary.  We celebrated our 100th founding anniversary last March 6, 2009 and we have had several activities since then, including a foundation day concert, the UPLB Centennial Graduation (which became more memorable because of the rain and the picturesque parachute tents spread over the graduating class in DL Umali Freedom Park), and a number of other events.

We invite you to join us in our celebrations and to come and visit UPLB anytime this year.  We have instituted a project for our alumni in partnership with local establishments called “Espasyal Kayo sa UPLB”.  With a minimum donation of P150, you shall receive an alumni privilege card, which entitles you to discounts to more than 30 establishments around UPLB and vicinities.  Details of the project are available at http://fundcampaign.uplb.edu.ph/.

We would like to keep you informed of what’s going on at UPLB so we hope you can acknowledge the receipt of this email and let us know how we can further strengthen our ties.  We sincerely would like to work closely with our alumni to keep the UPLB Spirit vibrant and alive.

We shall keep you updated with any changes as well as additional details to the calendar.

Mabuhay ang Mga Iskolar Para sa Bayan!

Sincerely,
EMMANUEL RODANTES G. ABRAHAM
Director, Office of Alumni Relations and Assistant to the Chancellor

Happy Father's Day sa mga Haligi ng Tahanan! :)

Anyway, kung gusto niyo magbigay ng regalo sa ating mga Tatay, eto pwedeng makatulong. This article was linked to me by our beloved Marvin. It talks about the ONE THING that fathers want this Father's Day. It goes:
This year, we celebrate Father’s Day on June 21, 2009. Being a Dad, I wanted to write today about what I want from Father’s Day. Then I realized I wasn’t sure what to write about! I couldn’t believe it!

Pressing on, I confessed to myself that hugs and appreciation from my family will be great enough for me.

But then maybe it is just me who wanted that, I thought. So, I sent a question to friends of mine who are also Dads…

Practical Application ng Counter Strike PDF Print E-mail
Written by labatiba

People are always looking for practical applications of the things they study. Like math, kaya maraming ayaw ng math kasi hindi nila magets kung makukulayan ba ni sine theta ang namumuti nilang buhok o kung mahahanap ba ng derivative of the equation ang nawawalang cellphone.

So, yeah, aaminin ko. Adik ako sa cs. Hinahanap-hanap siya ng sistema ko everytime i have nothing to do and money left in my wallet. It is a fun, enjoyable game that can drain you of your money and sense of reality. dahil sobrang exciting niya.

Ngayon, naisip ko (dahil na din siguro sa kaadikan) na may practical applications din ang larong ito. Heto ang ilan sa kanila.

1. YOU DECIDE WHAT WORKS BEST FOR LESS. POOR NO FRIENDS!
